it is amazing how fast things can change. i was pretty depressed a week ago. just getting a job gave me motivation. it's true, you appreciate your free time more so you make the most of it when you have less of it.
today was good.
i had work which was fun and i love my coworkers.
plans for hanging out after work tomorrow, i love somethings to look forward to
the best: after work i listened to a voicemail from philly americorps vista which i applied to a month ago and had given up on. it would be a ten month position starting pretty soon and i would be moving to philly. to be honest, i deleted the email link i had to the job info because i thought i didn't get it so i don't even really remember the specifics. Vista is my favorite branch of americorps though. I will call back tomorrow/Monday.
today i was at work not ten minutes when i got my bag out of the cupboard to get a bandaid for my sore heel and when i put my bag back in the handle got stuck on the door and the corner of it bashed me in the cheekbone right near my left eye. it could have been tragic. at any rate, i have a welt that's red and slightly bigger than a quarter.
My best English friend is coming to visit for three weeks on Sunday. I got off work so i can pick him up at JFK. i'm not really sure what we're going to do, once he gets here we'll make plans. there was supposed to be a road trip to chicago but now that i have a job it may get shortened into a boston road trip. or anywhere, really. the east coast is our oyster. definitely in the plans, though, is ordering bulk american apparel clothing from trendyblanks.com with Will and Ivy. i hope he's game, but with his doubled pounds-to-dollars currency i'm sure he'll be into it. i am excited for the visit.
i am excited for autumn, and then winter,
i am excited at new job prospects and current job money and company and delicious food for free.
and, i love the new girl talk. he's playing philly October 9th, and, while it won't live up to the last show i went to with john and lindsey, it will probably be worth dancing to. maybe i'll even be living in the city by then. boy oh boy.
