marian sutherland kirby library
this library doesn't have a lot of the books i want, but i can request them from other libraries nearby so i forgive them. it has comfy chairs and a decent movie selection and weird exhibits in a room downstairs like right now there's a calligraphy exhibit. also a sweet mural in the children's section.
ko ma qui sushi
has a pretty cheap lunch special and the sushi is delicious. the ladies there love my gram, who i often go there with.
sharon's subsi take almost everyone who visits mountaintop here because it is small and has delicious hoagies which are my favorite food. it is also right where the mountain top sign is
overabundance of lakes
one of the ice lakes has geese and goslings every year. the lakes are pretty although almost all privately owned by mean people who do not want to share.
i don't want to cheat and say "proximity to neat places like council cup and the powder hole" so i will leave it at that. i'm sure i will think of more.
fyi: there had been a discrepancy about the spelling of the town as one word or two until a few years ago when they settled on two words. i still tend to spell it with one because i think it looks cooler, and plenty of signs around town carry the old spelling as well.
