violins-in-the-making at the apple festival
the americorps position with the philadelphia senior center fell through, and i am not the least bit bummed out about it.
i still plan on moving to philadelphia, and most likely still at the end of this year, but i can do it on my own time. and even if i got a full time job paying minimum wage, i would still have more money than i would have with the senior center. my former potential future supervisor told me i can almost definitely get a different americorps position with an organization that has their shit together more so than the senior center so i will email the guy and see about it, but i'm not too worried either way.
matt is probably moving back home from chicago. we are talking about moving to philly in the beginning of december and i think living with him would be really really great. he grew up on my road (i grew up on his road) and i was in love with him from at least 8th through 10th grades and now he is my best friend. we'll take china town bus trips to d.c. to visit our 20 year old romantic interests together. probably also lots of vegetarian cooking and music making and creativity and drinking. i'm pretty excited that this might happen.
yesterday i bought the remaining pieces to my mostly free drum kit. i spent $50 and now i have everything but a floor tom. it sounds pretty shitty though, it's sort of discouraging.
i think this blog should be about something more interesting than my everyday life. if i got back into crafting the way i used to be it could be a craft blog.

i finally saw all of the darjeeling limited. that movie is so pretty and makes me want to go to india so badly. i think hotel chevalier is brilliant as well.
